WHEN IS CALIBRATION REQUIRED?

Triggers for ADAS recalibration

Windshield Replacement Affected: TSS 2.0 Forward Camera (PCS, LDA, LTA, AHB, RCC)

Static camera calibration required via Techstream after any windshield R&R. Toyota target board at 3.0 m from vehicle front on level surface. No metallic obstacles in camera field. All TSS 2.0 functions are camera-dependent - vehicle must not be returned without completed calibration. Clear DTC before road test.

Front Bumper Repair or Replacement Affected: TSS 2.0 Forward Radar (PCS, RCC, AEB)

77 GHz forward radar static initialization required via Techstream. Perform radar and camera calibration together when both disturbed. Inspect radar bracket for deformation - replace if bent. No physical aiming adjustment possible; replace sensor if mechanically damaged.

Rear Bumper Repair or Replacement Affected: BSM Left/Right Sensors, RCTA

BSM 24 GHz sensor initialization required via Techstream for any sensor disturbed during bumper work. Fixed mount - verify sensor not physically damaged. Road verify BSM function at 20+ mph adjacent to another vehicle.

Any Collision Affected: SRS ECU, Forward Camera, Forward Radar, BSM Sensors, deployed airbags

Full module scan mandatory via Techstream. SRS ECU likely stores crash data - replace if deployment recorded (DTC 51-xx). All ADAS modules must be scanned for DTC. Camera and radar calibration required if front damaged. BSM initialization required if rear disturbed. Do not clear DTC without physical inspection of all affected systems.

ECM or HV ECU Replacement Affected: ECM, MG ECU, HV Battery ECU, PCU, Immobilizer

HV service plug must be removed before any ECM or HV ECU work. Techstream VIN registration, IMMO coding, injector compensation required for ECM. MG ECU requires resolver calibration. HV Battery ECU requires SOC/cell balance verification. All key re-registration required if Smart Key ECU replaced.

Smart Key ECU Replacement Affected: All registered Smart Keys (all erased on replacement)

All previously registered keys are erased when Smart Key ECU is replaced. TIS dealer authorization required for AKL scenario. All customer keys must be present at time of Techstream re-registration. Verify max 8 key limit. Road verify remote lock/unlock and push-button start post-programming.

Wheel Alignment / Suspension Work Affected: Steering Angle Sensor (via Skid Control ECU)

Steering angle sensor zero-point calibration required via Techstream after any wheel alignment, steering component replacement, or suspension geometry change. Drive straight at 35+ mph on level road after Techstream reset to confirm SAS relearn.

Power Sliding Door or Liftgate Replacement Affected: PSD ECU (L/R), Power Liftgate ECU

Techstream initialization required for any replaced power door or liftgate ECU. Adjust open/close force limits and travel limits. Verify pinch protection. Obstacle detection test required before returning vehicle.

Forward Camera Replacement

Camera module replacement requires full recalibration using Techstream.

Forward Radar Replacement

Radar module replacement requires alignment/calibration using Techstream.

BSM Sensor Replacement

Blind spot monitoring sensor replacement requires calibration using Techstream.

Mirror Replacement

If BSD sensor is mirror-integrated, recalibration required. Verify sensor location; use Techstream if applicable.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

FAQ

How much does ADAS calibration cost for a 2021 Toyota Sienna?

ADAS calibration pricing for a 2021 Toyota Sienna depends on which of its 7 documented systems need work after a repair. This vehicle is documented with Forward Camera (Monocular), Forward Radar (77GHz), Blind Spot Monitor Sensor - Left (BSM), Blind Spot Monitor Sensor - Right (BSM), and Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA). We provide a fixed quote after confirming the operations performed - send the VIN, the repair scope (windshield R&R, bumper work, alignment, collision), and any DTCs so the quote response can include a real number.

Can you reset the airbag light on a 2021 Toyota Sienna?

Yes. The 2021 Toyota Sienna uses a factory SRS control module that we support. We read and clear stored crash data, then restore the module to factory status so the airbag warning light goes out and the system returns to full operation. Reference part number on this vehicle: 89170-08210. Mobile diagnosis and programming are the active service path. Mail-in bench intake is temporarily unavailable. Send the part number and a description of what triggered the light, and we will provide a quote and scheduling window.

What is needed after replacing the windshield on a 2021 Toyota Sienna?

After windshield replacement on a 2021 Toyota Sienna, Forward Camera (Monocular), Forward Radar (77GHz), and Rear View Camera rely on the forward-facing camera and require recalibration before the systems return to operation. We perform the calibration on-site in the DFW Metroplex with OE target fixtures. Mail-in intake is temporarily unavailable.

How long does a 2021 Toyota Sienna module service take?

Most 2021 Toyota Sienna onsite jobs are typically scheduled within 24-48 hours once vehicle readiness, access, and route timing are confirmed. This vehicle has roughly 25 programmable modules documented in our database (5 ECU, 6 BCM, 1 TCU, 5 ABS, plus IPC/SAS/gateway/accessory). Mobile module work and ADAS calibration are scheduled in the DFW service area after quote review. Mail-in module intake is temporarily unavailable.

Do you cover the 2021 Toyota Sienna on-site, or is this mail-in only?

We run a mobile unit across the DFW Metroplex for on-vehicle work (ADAS calibration, key programming, IMMO pairing, post-repair recoding, and supported module work). Mail-in module intake is temporarily unavailable. Quote the work and we will confirm the active service path for the 2021 Toyota Sienna. Do not ship a module unless support confirms next steps.

What kind of warranty do you offer on 2021 Toyota Sienna programming?

Every programming, cloning, and calibration job on the 2021 Toyota Sienna is backed by a workmanship warranty covering the scope of work we performed: 1-year unlimited on all flashes, clones, and ADAS calibrations. If a module we programmed or a calibration we performed fails to function as expected, return it and we restore it at no charge. The warranty covers our work; it does not cover unrelated mechanical or electrical failure of the module itself.

Can you program a 2021 Toyota Sienna with no working keys (all-keys-lost)?

Yes - all-keys-lost is supported on the 2021 Toyota Sienna. Immobilizer generation on this platform: Toyota Immobilizer Gen 4 (AES-128 DST-AES). Adding a key (with a working key already in hand) is also supported - typically faster and less expensive than an all-keys-lost reset. Submit the VIN and we will confirm the procedure and quote before scheduling.

Which modules on a 2021 Toyota Sienna can you actually service?

We program, clone, repair, or replace the full programmable-module stack on a 2021 Toyota Sienna. For this vehicle our database documents:

  • 5 engine control (ECU/PCM)
  • 1 transmission control (TCU/TCM)
  • 6 body control (BCM and related)
  • 5 ABS / brake control (EBCM)
  • 1 immobilizer / security
  • 2 key & fob
  • 1 instrument cluster (IPC)
  • 1 steering angle sensor (SAS)
  • 7 ADAS module

Infotainment on this platform: Toyota Entune 3.0. Send the VIN and the operations performed and we will confirm support and pricing.

Additional Module Part Numbers
