In our experience, a significant portion of modules declared "dead" by dealer tools are recoverable via bench methods the dealer's tooling does not attempt. Recovery is always worth attempting before committing to an OEM replacement.

Communication dropped mid-write or wrong calibration sent. Module no longer responds on OBD; recovery requires bench access and a known-good firmware dump.
