WHEN IS CALIBRATION REQUIRED?

Triggers for ADAS recalibration

Windshield Replacement

TSS 2.0 forward camera static calibration required. Techstream calibration menu: set vehicle on level surface, place Toyota target board at 3m ± 0.05m from vehicle front center. No objects in 3m front zone. Horizontal alignment within 5mm of center. Takes ~2 min via Techstream.

Forward Camera (TSS) Replacement

Same as windshield procedure. Techstream camera initialization + static calibration. Verify camera DTC clear. BSM and AHB function also verified during same procedure.

BSM Sensor Replacement (either side)

Techstream BSM sensor initialization. Rear bumper corner - no physical aiming adjustment. Verify RCTA and BSM DTC clear. Road verify at 20+ mph.

Skid Control ECU Replacement

Techstream ABS/VSC initialization + steering angle sensor zero-point calibration. Drive straight on level surface at 35+ mph for SAS self-calibration. Verify no VSC/ABS DTC.

ECM Replacement

Techstream ECM programming (TIS calibration file) + VIN registration + IMMO coding + injector compensation data entry + throttle body zero-point cal.

Smart Key ECU / Body ECU Replacement

TIS authorization required. All customer keys present. Techstream Smart Key registration procedure. Verify all keys start vehicle after completion.

Wheel Alignment / Steering Component

Techstream steering angle sensor zero-point reset. Drive straight 35+ mph on level road to complete SAS learning. VSC warning will remain until SAS calibration completes.

Forward Camera Replacement

Camera module replacement requires full recalibration using Techstream.

Any Front-End Collision

Inspect and recalibrate forward camera after any front-end collision using Techstream.

Front Bumper Repair or Replacement

Forward radar angular alignment required after front bumper R&R. Use Techstream.

Forward Radar Replacement

Radar module replacement requires alignment/calibration using Techstream.

Rear Bumper Repair or Replacement

BSD radar alignment required after rear bumper R&R. Use Techstream.

Mirror Replacement

If BSD sensor is mirror-integrated, recalibration required. Verify sensor location; use Techstream if applicable.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

FAQ

How much does ADAS calibration cost for a 2019 Toyota Rav4?

ADAS calibration pricing for a 2019 Toyota Rav4 depends on which of its 7 documented systems need work after a repair. This vehicle is documented with Forward Camera + Radar (TSS 2.0 Combined Unit), Forward Radar (77GHz), Blind Spot Monitor Sensor - Left (BSM), Blind Spot Monitor Sensor - Right (BSM), and Lane Departure Alert Camera (shared). We provide a fixed quote after confirming the operations performed - send the VIN, the repair scope (windshield R&R, bumper work, alignment, collision), and any DTCs so the quote response can include a real number.

Can you reset the airbag light on a 2019 Toyota Rav4?

Yes. The 2019 Toyota Rav4 uses a factory SRS control module that we support. We read and clear stored crash data, then restore the module to factory status so the airbag warning light goes out and the system returns to full operation. Reference part number on this vehicle: 89170-0R230. Mobile diagnosis and programming are the active service path. Mail-in bench intake is temporarily unavailable. Send the part number and a description of what triggered the light, and we will provide a quote and scheduling window.

What is needed after replacing the windshield on a 2019 Toyota Rav4?

After windshield replacement on a 2019 Toyota Rav4, Forward Camera + Radar (TSS 2.0 Combined Unit), Forward Radar (77GHz), and Lane Departure Alert Camera (shared) rely on the forward-facing camera and require recalibration before the systems return to operation. We perform the calibration on-site in the DFW Metroplex with OE target fixtures. Mail-in intake is temporarily unavailable.

How long does a 2019 Toyota Rav4 module service take?

Most 2019 Toyota Rav4 onsite jobs are typically scheduled within 24-48 hours once vehicle readiness, access, and route timing are confirmed. This vehicle has roughly 26 programmable modules documented in our database (6 ECU, 4 BCM, 2 TCU, 4 ABS, plus IPC/SAS/gateway/accessory). Mobile module work and ADAS calibration are scheduled in the DFW service area after quote review. Mail-in module intake is temporarily unavailable.

Do you cover the 2019 Toyota Rav4 on-site, or is this mail-in only?

We run a mobile unit across the DFW Metroplex for on-vehicle work (ADAS calibration, key programming, IMMO pairing, post-repair recoding, and supported module work). Mail-in module intake is temporarily unavailable. Quote the work and we will confirm the active service path for the 2019 Toyota Rav4. Do not ship a module unless support confirms next steps.

What kind of warranty do you offer on 2019 Toyota Rav4 programming?

Every programming, cloning, and calibration job on the 2019 Toyota Rav4 is backed by a workmanship warranty covering the scope of work we performed: 1-year unlimited on all flashes, clones, and ADAS calibrations. If a module we programmed or a calibration we performed fails to function as expected, return it and we restore it at no charge. The warranty covers our work; it does not cover unrelated mechanical or electrical failure of the module itself.

Can you program a 2019 Toyota Rav4 with no working keys (all-keys-lost)?

Yes - all-keys-lost is supported on the 2019 Toyota Rav4. Immobilizer generation on this platform: Toyota Immobilizer Gen 4 (AES-128). Adding a key (with a working key already in hand) is also supported - typically faster and less expensive than an all-keys-lost reset. Submit the VIN and we will confirm the procedure and quote before scheduling.

Which modules on a 2019 Toyota Rav4 can you actually service?

We program, clone, repair, or replace the full programmable-module stack on a 2019 Toyota Rav4. For this vehicle our database documents:

  • 6 engine control (ECU/PCM)
  • 2 transmission control (TCU/TCM)
  • 4 body control (BCM and related)
  • 4 ABS / brake control (EBCM)
  • 3 immobilizer / security
  • 2 key & fob
  • 2 instrument cluster (IPC)
  • 2 steering angle sensor (SAS)
  • 7 ADAS module

Send the VIN and the operations performed and we will confirm support and pricing.
