About this service.

Why Shops Hand Parking Sensor Work to Core Auto Logic

Parking sensors fail quietly - a dampened sensor still beeps sometimes. After bumper work, only a per-sensor verification proves the array protects the customer's bumper like it did from the factory.

Every job is bench-tested, logged and documented. No guesswork, no try-and-see flashes.

OEM Target Kits - Not Generic
TARGET
Factory-specification target kits for Toyota, Honda, Ford, GM, Stellantis, Hyundai, VAG, and Mercedes-Benz. Generic universal targets fail on radar-first and Ethernet-sensor systems.
Insurance-Ready Documentation
DOC
Every calibration includes a pre-scan report, a post-scan confirmation, module version logs, and a signed calibration success code summary acceptable to all major insurance carriers.
Mobile Service - We Come to Your Bay
MOBILE
We bring target boards, measuring tools, and scan tools to your location across the DFW Metroplex. Your vehicle stays on the lift; your techs never leave their bays.
Static + Dynamic in One Visit
STATIC-DYN
We handle both the target-board static alignment and any required dynamic drive cycle the same afternoon so the vehicle leaves your shop road-ready.

Failure Indicators

Symptoms of a parking sensor array knocked out of spec by bumper or sensor work.

Constant False Beeping
Alerts fire with nothing behind or ahead of the vehicle - often one mis-seated or mis-coded sensor.
Dead Zones
Obstacles inside the detection range draw no warning at one corner of the bumper.
Short Detection Range
Warnings come far later than they used to - classic excess-paint attenuation.
Auto-Park Aborts
Self-parking starts then abandons the maneuver, or parks crooked against the references.

Common reasons customers book this service

Tap a card to see what triggers this service and which systems are affected.

Parking sensors mount through the bumper cover. Removal, repair, or refinish changes their seating and acoustics - excess paint film alone can deafen an ultrasonic sensor.
A new ultrasonic sensor must be the correct part for its position and may require coding to the park-assist module before the array detects distances accurately.
Self-parking systems fuse ultrasonic and camera data. After front or rear repair, an aborted or crooked auto-park maneuver is a calibration problem until proven otherwise.

Frequently Asked Questions

Yes. Ultrasonic sensors are tuned acoustic devices - refinish film thickness beyond OEM limits over the sensor face dampens the signal and shortens detection range, or kills it entirely. Most OEMs publish explicit paint limits for sensor faces.
On many platforms, yes - the sensor must be coded to its position so the module interprets its echo correctly. Plugging in an uncoded or wrong-position sensor causes false alerts or dead zones even though it physically fits.
Typical causes after bodywork: a sensor seated at the wrong angle in its retainer, excess paint film, or a sensor coded for the wrong position. We test each sensor's actual detection pattern and pin down which one is lying.
Yes. Auto-park systems use the same ultrasonic array fused with camera data, so the calibration covers the sensor array plus any required camera procedure - and we verify a full park maneuver where the platform supports it.
Typically 45-90 minutes on-site depending on sensor count and whether coding is needed. Combined jobs with surround-view or bumper radar calibration are scheduled as one visit.
