Why Body Shops and Mechanics Choose Core Auto Logic

We are key programming specialists focused on the IMMO and BCM side: VIN-paired transponder enrollment, all-keys-lost initialization on supported platforms, donor key pairing, and module-level recovery when the standard learn procedure fails.

All-Keys-Lost Supported
AKL initialization on Ford F-150 2021+, many GM, Toyota, Honda and European platforms. We use OEM security access plus chip-level support to enroll a new key from zero - no prior working key required.
AKL
Spare Key + Replacement Fob Programming
Add a spare key, pair a replacement fob or recover from a failed dealer enrollment. Every job ends with a verified start authorization on every key currently in the IMMO list.
PAIR
Module-Level Recovery
When the standard OBD enrollment is locked out (security countdown, bricked IMMO module, donor BCM with wrong key data), we go chip-level: read, modify and write back the IMMO EEPROM directly.
BENCH
Mobile DFW + Mail-In Bench Service
On-site service for live-vehicle key programming across the DFW metro. Mail-in available for module-only work: ship us the IMMO, BCM or ECU and we return it with the IMMO list updated.

Add-key workflow pre-checks

Everything covered in this service

Every job is bench-tested, logged and documented. No guesswork, no try-and-see flashes.

All-Keys-Lost (AKL) Programming
KEY
We perform AKL procedures on supported platforms - including Ford F-150 2021+ and many GM, Toyota, Chrysler/Stellantis, and European vehicles - using OEM security access and parameter reset. No existing key required.
Spare Key and Fob Addition
ADD-KEY
Adding a new key to the immobilizer's enrolled list requires a live security-access session. We program proximity keys, traditional transponder keys, and remote-entry fobs.
IMMO Module Reset & Re-Pairing
IMMO
After BCM, ECU, or ignition cylinder replacement, we reset and re-pair the immobilizer module so existing or new keys are recognized for start authorization.
Mobile DFW Service
MOBILE
We come to your location across the DFW Metroplex with OEM-grade diagnostic platforms. Most key programming jobs complete in 45-90 minutes on-site.
Broad Platform Coverage
PLATFORMS
Ford (PATS Gen 3-5), GM (GM Theftlock, Tech2 platforms), Chrysler/Stellantis (SKIM/SKREEM), Toyota/Lexus, Honda/Acura, Hyundai/Kia, Nissan/Infiniti, BMW, Mercedes-Benz, and VAG group.
Key Programming Specialists - Module-Level Work Only
COMPLIANCE
Our work is electronic and software-based - immobilizer reset, transponder enrollment, and module-level key authentication. We are key programming specialists. We do not cut keys, pick locks, or service mechanical lock cylinders.

When Key Programming Is Required

Situations where a transponder, fob or IMMO module needs programming. If the mechanical key cuts and locks all check out, the software side is the next stop.

Engine Cranks But Will Not Start
Vehicle cranks normally but kills fuel after 1-2 seconds. Classic IMMO mismatch - key transponder is not enrolled in the immobilizer module.
All Keys Lost
Original keys destroyed or unrecoverable. AKL initialization on supported platforms enrolls a new key from zero without requiring a previously programmed key.
New Fob Not Recognized
Replacement remote fob unlocks doors but vehicle reports "no key detected" on push-start. Fob needs IMMO enrollment plus PEPS pairing.
Donor Key Locked Out
Used key from another vehicle accepted by IMMO learn but security countdown locks out the procedure. Chip-level reset on the IMMO module clears the countdown.

Common reasons customers book this service

Tap a card to see what triggers this service and which systems are affected.

When all original keys are gone or destroyed, the vehicle cannot be started with a new unprogrammed key. All-keys-lost (AKL) procedures use OEM security access and parameter reset - available on Ford F-150 2021+, many GM, Toyota, and other supported platforms - to initialize a new key from zero without requiring an existing programmed key.
Programming a spare key or replacement fob requires an active security-access session with the vehicle's immobilizer system. Generic on-the-shelf key copies will not start the vehicle - the transponder must be enrolled in the IMMO module.
Replacing the ignition lock cylinder often breaks the IMMO ring antenna pairing. The existing keys must be re-enrolled after ignition service, or the IMMO antenna module must be reprogrammed for the new cylinder.
After a BCM or ECU swap, the existing keys may not be recognized because the immobilizer data is stored in the replaced module. We re-pair the keys to the new module pair using OEM-level security access.
Some vehicles lose fob registration after a prolonged battery drain or body module replacement. We re-pair all remote entry fobs and verify operation of all functions: lock, unlock, panic, and remote start if equipped.
A steady or flashing security/anti-theft indicator at startup usually means a failed transponder read or a PATS fault code. We retrieve the fault, determine if the issue is a key, transponder ring, BCM, or ECU problem, and resolve it programmatically.

From quote to delivery

How we move a job from intake to fully programmed and verified.

  1. Vehicle Information and SituationProvide the VIN, number of existing programmed keys (can be zero for AKL), and a description of the situation. We confirm platform support and quote the programming service within 4 business hours.
Vehicle Information and Situation - Core Auto Logic immobilizer-key-programming step 1
  2. Schedule On-Site or Drop-OffKey programming requires the vehicle present. For DFW Metroplex locations, we come to you. For customers outside our mobile range, we provide a drop-off location or arrange a tow-in for no-start AKL situations.
    Schedule On-Site or Drop-Off - Core Auto Logic immobilizer-key-programming step 2
  3. Security Access and Key EnrollmentWe connect OEM diagnostic software, obtain security access, and enroll the new or existing keys into the IMMO system. For AKL, we perform the OEM parameter reset sequence to initialize the first key from zero.
Security Access and Key Enrollment - Core Auto Logic immobilizer-key-programming step 3
  4. Verification and Start ConfirmationWe verify every enrolled key starts the vehicle, all remote functions work, and the security indicator shows normal (not flashing). You leave with a documented list of enrolled keys and any fault codes cleared.

Frequently Asked Questions

Yes on supported platforms. All-keys-lost programming uses the OEM security access procedure to reset the immobilizer and enroll a new key from zero. AKL is supported on Ford F-150 2021+ (PATS Gen 5), many GM platforms, Toyota smart-key vehicles, and others. Confirm your platform is supported at quote time.
Sometimes. Aftermarket keys must have the correct transponder chip type for your platform. Proximity (push-button start) keys have additional requirements. We verify compatibility before attempting programming - using an incompatible chip will fail and waste the key. We can supply correct OEM-spec blanks at time of service.
No. We are key programming specialists focused on the electronic side - immobilizer reset, transponder enrollment, and module-level key authentication via OEM diagnostic software. We do not cut keys, pick locks, or service mechanical lock cylinders.
The replacement key was never enrolled in your vehicle's immobilizer. A key that physically turns the ignition will not start the engine unless its transponder chip is registered in the IMMO module. Programming enrolls the new key into the vehicle's security system.
Most add-a-key and fob programming jobs take 30-60 minutes on-site. All-keys-lost procedures take 45-90 minutes depending on the platform and whether the immobilizer module requires a power-down cycle between security access attempts.
Yes. A BCM or ECU swap typically breaks the immobilizer pairing, and existing keys will not start the vehicle until re-enrolled. We re-pair all keys to the replacement module combination as part of the post-swap programming sequence.
