About this service.

Why Shops Bring 360° Camera Work to Core Auto Logic

Four cameras, one stitched image, zero tolerance for a tilted mount. Surround-view is the most space- and measurement-intensive calibration there is - and the easiest to get visibly wrong.

Failure Indicators

Symptoms of a surround-view system whose cameras no longer agree.

Visible Stitch Lines
Pavement markings jog sideways at the seams between camera zones in the top-down view.
Guidelines Off Target
Parking guidance lines miss the actual bumper path - the customer notices in the first tight spot.
Distorted Composite
The vehicle outline looks skewed or one quadrant of the bird's-eye view sits tilted.
View Unavailable
The 360° display refuses to load or drops a camera after mirror or body work.

Common reasons customers book this service

Tap a card to see what triggers this service and which systems are affected.

The side-view cameras live in the mirror housings. Any mirror R&R or replacement changes the camera position, and the surround composite has to be re-stitched against floor targets to line back up.
The front camera sits in the grille or emblem and the rear camera in the tailgate trim. Repair or replacement at either end shifts that camera relative to the other three.
Body repair near any of the four cameras can tilt its mount by a degree or two - invisible on the panel, obvious in the stitched bird's-eye view. One camera out of position breaks the whole composite.

Frequently Asked Questions

More than any other ADAS procedure - the floor targets lay flat around the entire vehicle, so we typically need a level area several feet beyond each side, front, and rear. A double bay or open shop floor works; we confirm dimensions when you book.
Yes - the system is calibrated as a set. Each camera is referenced to the others to build the seamless top-down composite, so replacing or disturbing one means re-stitching all four.
A casual glance misses small stitch errors that put the guidance lines inches off at the bumper - exactly where customers trust the view most, in tight parking. If a camera was disturbed, the factory procedure is the only way to verify the composite.
Plan on 90-150 minutes on-site depending on platform - layout and measurement of the floor targets is most of the work. Same-day documentation as always.
On most platforms, yes - the dynamic guidelines are driven by the same camera referencing. If the platform has a separate rear-camera-only routine we run that too in the same visit.
